The same rights for everyone? Treating the forest as a space for wild animals to live as well as a retreat for human beings has increasingly led to a conflict of interest. Many wild animals perceive human activities as a risk because increased forest use has made it more difficult for animals to find quiet areas to which they can retreat. The purpose of the excursion and conference ist o address the challenges to unify the wild animals’ needs for living space and humans’ desire for a place to relax. The influence that hunting has and its interrelation with leisure activities will also be discussed. On the first day, there will be an excrusion to Kandel for a theatrical performance. On the second day, the Denzling Wild Animal Forum will present current research findings and offer suggestions to turn theory into practice.
