Testing out additional study spaces

The University of Freiburg is offering its students additional study spaces during a testing phase by extending the Combined Departmental Library’s opening hours in Collegiate Building IV (KG IV).

The Combined Departmental Library in KG IV will be open on eight weekends for both the summer and winter term in 2019: starting January 5 through February 24 and July 6 through August 25, 2019 from 10 am to 8 pm. “It is important for us to increase the study space capacity for our students in times of particularly high demand, something the students really want,” says Rector Prof. Dr. Hans-Jochen Schiewer. “The Combined Departmental Library in KG IV in the immediate vicinity of the University Library is excellently suited for this purpose. I am sure many students will take advantage of the opportunity to prepare for their exams there on weekends.”
