Celebrating the opening of the 2019/2020 academic year

The University of Freiburg is celebrating the opening of the 2019/2020 academic year 2019/20 with an ecumenical service and a ceremony. Dr. Peter Wittig, German ambassador in London, England and alumnus of the University of Freiburg, will give a speech entitled “Europe in the New World (Dis)Order: Experiences of a German Diplomat.” Other items on the agenda include a greeting by Rector Prof. Dr. Hans-Jochen Schiewer, the recognition of student involvement and awards for young talent and university teaching
