First-year students centerstage

The University of Freiburg is welcoming first-year students during orientation for the 2018/2019 winter semester. The newcomers are provided with lots of useful information about how to find their way around campus, how to prepare for daily student life and ways in which they can receive a first impression of Freiburg. Around 4,000 freshmen and their parents are invited to attend, including others interested in the University and more senior students. Rector Prof. Dr. Hans-Jochen Schiewer, Marah Mauermann from the student government and Fritz Keller, president of SC Freiburg will join in welcoming the students. In addition, poetry slammer and University of Freiburg alumnus Sebastian23 will do a performance. The main institutions and student groups as well as University partners will introduce themselves in the “market of opportunities.”
