First-Years in the stands

Once again, the University has organized a first-year welcome day for students who are beginning their studies at the University of Freiburg for the winter semester 2019/20. It is intended to help newcomers find their way around the University, prepare them for their everyday studies and get a first impression of Freiburg. Approximately 4,000 first-year students and their parents have been invited. Interested students and students of higher semesters are also welcome. Rector Prof. Dr. Hans-Jochen Schiewer, Jonathan Hanser from the student representatives and Hanno Franke, Head of Marketing and Corporate Social Responsibility at SC Freiburg, will welcome the students. Lukas Mak, music cabaret artist and student studying to be a teacher at the University of Freiburg, will also perform. The central facilities and student groups of the University will introduce themselves during the “Market of Opportunities.”
