New adjunct professors at the University of Freiburg

The University of Freiburg will appoint Professor Richard Schenk as an adjunct professor at the suggestion of the Faculty of Theology. After completing a doctorate in Catholic Theology in 1986 at the LMU Munich, Schenk was a professor from 1990 to 2011 at the Faculties of Philosophy and Theology at the Dominican School of Philosophy and Theology, Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, USA. Subsequently he was Rector of the Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt until 2014. Since 2016 his work has included pastoral care in higher education in Freiburg and in the future will take in teaching in the discipline of Catholic Theology/ Christian Religious Philosophy at the university.

At the suggestion of the Law Faculty, the University of Freiburg will appoint Dr. Bernd Schütze as an adjunct professor. Schütze completed his doctorate at the University of Freiburg in 1989 and has been a judge at the Federal Social Court since 2007. He also has many academic publications to his name. Since 1995 he has taught at the Faculty of Law, since winter semester 2012/2013 with a focus on social law.
